Jamun/Java Plum Mousse
Ingredients
- 1 cup Jamun fruit
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1tsp vanilla extract
- 1 Tbsp gelatin
- 1 cup whipping cream
Preparation
- Make a puree out of jamuns
- Add sugar, salt and combine well.
- Combine gelatin with 2tbsp of water & after 5mins, heat in microwave for 30-40 secs until completely dissolved. Allow it to cool.
- Add melted gelatin to the Jamun puree & combine well.
- Whip the cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks.
- Combine whipped cream & Jamun mixture. Mousse is ready.
- Pour the mousse into pipping bag & pour it into glasses.
- Chill the mousse in the fridge for 4 hours or overnight. Serve chilled
