Jamun/Java Plum Mousse

Jamun/Java Plum Mousse

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Jamun fruit
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp gelatin
  • 1 cup whipping cream
Preparation
  • Make a puree out of jamuns
  • Add sugar, salt and combine well.
  • Combine gelatin with 2tbsp of water & after 5mins, heat in microwave for 30-40 secs until completely dissolved. Allow it to cool.
  • Add melted gelatin to the Jamun puree & combine well.
  • Whip the cream with vanilla extract until stiff peaks.
  • Combine whipped cream & Jamun mixture. Mousse is ready.
  • Pour the mousse into pipping bag & pour it into glasses.
  • Chill the mousse in the fridge for 4 hours or overnight. Serve chilled
